- 1/2 cup tahini sesame paste
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove minced or grated
- 1/4 cup cold water adjust as needed
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin optional
- Salt to taste
In a mixing bowl, whisk together tahini, lemon juice, and garlic. The mixture will thicken initially.
Gradually add cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, whisking until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
Add cumin (if using) and season with salt to taste.
Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Adjust the thickness by adding more or less water depending on your use (thicker for a dip, thinner for a dressing).
